Why write?

I stuck with the translations of my fanfictions. To be precise - I'm too lazy at the moment to do so after work. And more or less in the mood to draw and sketch.
So I ended up with another doujinshi-project.

Butterflies isn't on hiatus, but the story will be rather dark, and I must admit it contains some autobiographical stuff - my personal way to cope with the shit that happened over the last five years. And it's though to draw and write it.

Perfection (Working title) will be lighter and I try to keep it in the traditional manga-style. And knowing myself I will fail miserably ^^





The story takes place before Crisis Core, so Reno has no mullet yet XD

He's giving me a really hard time - I just can't draw in complete manga style. My chars always look older ...

I don't think you need to try and duplicate a particular "manga" style. Manga artists have lots of different styles. Just do your own thing. You have a very dramatic style...I like the way you arrange the panels, the balance of light and dark, etc. Not everybody has to have huge dewy eyes and big "o" shaped mouths!

BTW, any plans on translating your doujinshi into English? It looks really interesting. Wish I could read it too...

Nah, I don't want to duplicate a style. I like my!Reno. Only the hair is driving me insane ^^

I'm planning to translate Butterflies into English, but it will be hell of work, since there are lots of word-games in it, and I have to figure out how and if they work in English.
