Just made several screen caps as bases for Icons - and since I believe the lj content strike will not change a thing, I rather use my free Friday night for fun stuff, that have no ties to reality.

(On a side note - I seriously think five years are a damn long time for a war that was declared as won after a few weeks … but maybe that’s just me and my German point of view)

So back to the meaningless things in life (the Friday night stuff) - Downloads are behind the cut, just click on the images. They vary in quality depending on the avi files I’ve used.

I’m still alive. Just worked my ass off the last days, had a severe PC crash - well, the usual.
But today I couldn’t help myself. Just had to grab the wacom pen and do some sketching. my!Tseng is a little bit too much on the bishi-side, but I really like the image so far.

I hate Gallery v1 and v2 - if my Japanese would be any better I would switch to Ninja Tools within a blink of an eye.

This outburst is due to the fact that I try to organize some stuff at my and Arki’s gallery … and we use different gallery tools (and please - any grammar nazi … I know that’s Arki and I) and I can’t upload png’s at her gallery *sigh*

But the lovely woman is modeling and texturing like hell and I can’t wait to get my hands at her new stuff. Just check it out.

On the affilliate front has another change happened. Since Violet Violence is more or less history, I kicked the link out.
But since yesterday I have a new affiliate: Shinra’s Bad Boys, a lj-community devoted to FF VII’s Turks and Soldiers.

If anybody else is interested in an affiliation, just drop me a line.

At the update front - the 7th page of my doujinshi is up.
Not much text at this one.

Sorry for the crappy presentation, but I have to find a nice and smooth way to publish webcomics. My gallery2 takes ages to load the images.

So this time for real - first 5 pages of the dôjinshi-project - and I have hell of fun working on it.
The main story will be pretty smut-free … extra stages will include the smexy things, and will be either friends-locked at my livejournal or be published somewhere else - since I’m new to this I have to figure out the best ways of presentation.
Any constructive criticism is highly appriciated.

And now I have to fill out a meme =^.^=

… and a call w/ a good friend and a PC crash, the image is done.

It’s really just a quicky - and I realized that it’s bad, bad, bad not to draw anything for two weeks.

Missed the daily practice routine.

Good Morning World, I’m still alive.
Was sick the last weeks and didn’t have the muse to write, post or draw at all. My online-prescence was limitied to a minimum, and I missed a lot of stuff going on.
Sorry for not replying to mails and comments.

Don’t know if I catch up with everything but I’ll try.

Good sign: I woke up this morning and felt the urgent need to sketch. Another good thing - I remembered to use different layers. Sometimes strange things can happen when you mess up the colors.

vince_frust-copy.jpg

Thanks any divinity it’s easy to switch and change colors within Photoshop.
And for overall 30 minutes worktime so far and a complete freehand sketch I’m pretty satisfied up to this point. But Vincent Valentine as Blonde??? Ah, scarry thought.

Paradise Lost Lineart by ~Ka-bu-ki on deviantART

Ha, done and finished with the lineart. Now the real horror begins and I really hope I don’t mess up the coloration. (*me scared*)
But I have mentioned Zen and everything in my last post… what scares me even more is the fact, that my two bois (=^.^=) look like I want them to look like, at least when drawn in somewhat of a ‘Manga-Style’.
And I’m so good, since I avoided any of Akira’s tattoos. Paint them is a pain in the ass.

Practice, more practice, even more practice … I want to finish the Rico/Acid-pic with painter - and for that I have to get used to the brush options.
I really do like painter, although I got used to Photoshop within the last month. But this is oh so Zen - I have the ideal image in my mind. And I would jump up and down in joy once I’ve reached the level Feimo and Heise are … ok, I can dream, can’t I?
Seriously, I don’t want to be a copycat, and I know I’m really developing my own style. But what they are doing just screams for the Wayne’s world bow and the muttered ‘I’m unworthy’.
So I practice to paint eyeshapes, figures, try my luck on blending yadda yadda …
and just figured that the Paintings and Drawings-Section of my gallery contains the most images. Yeah, still have to upload all the rendered stuff, but atm I just prefere to paint and draw.
Which is connected to me being so impatient - I know the best techniques, I know how to set up lights etc … but I can’t wait for a render 24 hours to be finished.
When drawing/painting it’s me who does something all the time.

And I have to thank Arki for it. W/o her obnoxious comments I would never ever considered to grab a pen again. But it was her who got so f?Ӥing terribly on my precious nerves.
Maybe it’s the aftermath of a really strange new years eve (and this doesn’t include me being totally wasted - which I was) - but I can truely say, that it was one of the many awesome things this woman achieved…

And w/ this post I broke my personal socks mia-rule … but who cares? ^_^

turks_at_work_small.jpeg Two major mistakes are still hidden within the image, but Vincent’s gun is driving me insane. If anybody has an idea, where to find a reference image of him holding the Cerberus in kind of this position I would love you forever.
Guns are for sure the next thing on the list I have to practice. And to stay within the clichés - I’m female … I don’t kneed how to draw guns!!! What bs!!!
But practice really pays off. I can draw suits now =^.^=

Chance in topic
And now to my strange idea. For various reasons, I don’t own a credit card and paypal is a bitch to me.
So if anybody’s interested I trade art for stuff like a paid lj-account or a Deviant Art Subscription - since I really need to promote myself a little bit more. And everybody has to start somewhere =^.^=

Had to work yesterday which really sucked since one of my coworkers decided not to show up. And so my shift which originally was planned to end at 2pm lasted till 7pm.
But now I have vacation till January 2nd.

And time for another image, without all the Christmas stress in the back.
I finished the reference image, and I must say I’m positively surprised by DAZ for a change.
The 1.8 Version of their Studio runs really stable, and is cabable of things I would never dare to try in Poser.

turks_at_work_setup.jpg

Five figures in one image - Poser 7 would just tell me and my PC to jerk off.
Like I said, it’s only the reference for the scene - now the real fun starts … the drawing.
But I suck at human anatomy and perspective. And for this programs like Poser or Daz Studio are great.

Just click on the image for a full size view. It’s huge so I didn’t put it behind a cut, since I know lots of people would freak because the size screws most layouts.
Dedicated to Arki, nekojita and tirwolf. Lots of Huggels to you girls =^.^=

I need to practice hairpainting way more, but nobody’s perfect. And it’s really the first time that I managed to paint an image with buildings in the background.
I HATE perspective drawing. More practice ….

reno_wip03.jpgOne of the reasons why I love to work with digitial painting programs like Photoshop etc is the undo-function.
Started to redo the background since the previous version was … uhm … strange. It’s the first time ever that I try something like this. And I figured out the neat trick with custom brushes. It helps a lot.
And as usual I jump from one thing to another - but I figured it’s the way I can work best. The eyes aren’t finished and I haven’t even started on the hair yet. No idea if I’m going to finish it tonight. But I hope so.

reno_lineart.pngThe insanity scale just went up to a glorious 9. School … well, it was sitting around and doing creatively nothing.
Work … well, since one of the guys who’re supposed to train us has the flu, it was - guess what - sitting around and doing creatively nothing.
So, I’m back at home and do what I’ve done all the other evenings - practice drawing. Besides all the Christmas Stress it’s really a way to relax and calm down.
And I become more and more confident in the things I try - like a pic at night, w/ rain and back lights … 2 months ago alone the thought would have driven me insane.
(Btw, huggels to four awesome signoras to whom this image will be dedicated to: Tirwolf, Nekojita, Arki and sweetheart Renee - who has unfortunately not yet a site. Thanks so much for … well, everything)

reno_wip.jpgSo speaking about me becoming more confident - I know, the current status looks pretty crappy. But I know where I want to go to. And the best - I know now, I can do it. I can draw rain, I can define the light source from the back…

I know, I repeat myself - but I HATE Christmas. At least at the moment. I make three red crosses when it’s the 24th.
Finished most of the linearts for the presents for … lots of people. Good thing is, I become faster in sketching, drawing and painting.

By the way, on an insanity scale from 1 to 10 I rank myself now around 8. It’s strange if you start to draw your own rpg-chars ooc.
And I want to make a batch of new icons for myself. Turks ftw… I like them as the badass guys with a severe alcohol problem. (Smirks in Arki’s direction).

And I want to write tonight. Can’t see lines anymore. Speaking of writings and fanfiction - Nekojita has updated her Art of Cruelty-fiction. Jeez, I’m such a sucker for her writings. And I finally managed to read it … ALL!!! (Never mention again, that I’m writing long chapters ^.^).

Tomorrow evening I will upload the next batch of Final Fantasy-Doujinshi. So much more prettiness.

keno.pngI need to get myself informed about some bondage-practices. My muse needs ‘em. She really runs wild lately. Finished some sketches this morning - really speed sketching. 1 1/2 hour in total.
And yes, I do look at reference images or use old renders which never have been finished as said references. Poser becomes more and more just that for me. A handy tool to create quick references (I think it was the original purpose of the program anyways)

Because of size and one being not quite worksafe *cough* (I put it at the bottom with enough space in between so you can safely browse the rest) the full size images are behind the usual cut. Oh I’m so good, remembering that I crosspost this stuff always.

I really have a thing for men wearing kimonos - it’s so sexy in my opinion. And when listen to some old kaggra, while finishing a lineart just makes my day.

The lineart is behind a cut - due to it’s size, and I’m not quite sure if it’s worksafe (the main reason for the cut ^.^) or not.
