A love that’s not shared by my neighbors. But there’s nothing better than turn up the volume while doing the homework for my java-class.

I love Girugamesh – I really do.
They played at Wacken last year – c’mon: WACKEN … THE Open-Air festival every metelhead should have been to at least once in his life.
And now Girugamesh comes up with Crying Rain.

It’s a nice song. And that’s the problem – it’s nice. And somewhat generic. Eyecandy to watch and sappy lyrics to listen to. Nothing to remember after the mp3-player picked another random song.

And that from a band which came up with Kowarete iku Sekai – still one of my favorite songs.

Music makes me happy.
Guess my neighbors hate me atm, but for about an hour they have to cope with my taste in music.

Got my hands on the new Gazette-CD and I must admit, I still love 'em.

2. List 5 songs (with links to them, if you can find them) that start with that letter.
3. Post them to your journal with these instructions.

Snatched from [livejournal.com profile] white_jenna and I ended up with G

Daddy Yankee - Gasolina

Lee Dorsey - Give it up

Mando Dio - Give me fire

Yoko Kanno - Gotta knock a little bit harder

Agathodaimon - Ghost of a Soul

... and this is really a representative choice of music I'm listening to Oo

The Playlist is inspired by the most complicated Reno/Tseng Relationship I ever experienced in my whole rpg-time. And the best one, I've played so far. Tons of huggles to LadyofDarkness77
I think it's a pretty European choice of music ...  (and not the usual death/black metal or J-Rock I'm normally into)

Playlist:
30 Seconds to Mars - Message in a Bottle
Anthony and the Johnsons - Knocking on Heavens door
Beatstakes - Atomic Love
Björk - Venus as a boy
Cat Power - Sea of love
Dido - Life for rent
Eddie Vedder and the Million Dollar Bashers - All along the Watchtower
Jamiroquai - Love Foolosophy
Kate Nash - Nicest thing
Katie Mekua - In my secret life
Lisa Furukawa - This tide
Moloko - The Time is now
NERD - Backseat Love
Peter Björn and John - Start to melt
Queen - The Show must go on
SoKo - I'll kill her
Stefanie Heinzmann - Can't get you out of my system
Tegan & Sara - Where does the good go
The Verve - Bitter sweet symphony

The lovely vulpes_demonica just caused some major drooling.

Okay, the whole thing is really … back to the 80’s. But damn, it’s hot. And did I ever mention I have a serious kink on guys that are not afraid to polish their fingernails?
Just causes severe nosebleed.

So join the 4:50 minutes of fangirling…

Ha, just wanted to post about Vampire Weekend and their really great CD when I figured that Spiegel online was faster.

So, here’s just a video:

I’m alive also I feel really tired at the moment. Celebrated my grandpa’s birthday today. And I feel so stuffed. Like usual in Germany we went out for ‘lunch’. (Something I hate - I prefer to have the main meal in the evening). And it was delicous. And if Steak and Salad weren’t enough my lovely grandma insistet on coffee and cake afterwards.
Don’t need to eat for the next week or so…

But now I’m really happy to be at home, listen to 30 Seconds to mars and draw. Funny thing - I wasn’t aware that Jared Leto is the leadsinger of the band when I bought the first CD, also I always believed him to be a hot since I have seen My so called life (Did I mention I’m old? ^.^)

Regarding my hates for buildings:
Have finished the greys for the first panel. Now the tones are on the list. And I’m kind of afraid that I’ll mess it up. Will have to experiment a lot.

On a last note, sorry if I haven’t answered mails or commented on any posts this weekend. Wasted most of the time with sleep and hanging around. Can afford to be sick any longer ^.^

I do have acctually a last.fm-account - so if anybody wants to know, what sick music I’m listening to … feel free to friend me. My username is Kabukichan (no surprise here ^.^)
And don’t wonder about the listed Tokio Hotel-Songs. To my own shame I have to admit they are not thaaaaat bad.

Shadertest Besides listening to really strange music I work on a realistic skintexture in Cinema 4d. Shaders and even more shaders. Once I have figured out, how it works the best, I think I’ll put up a quick tutorial.

On a side note - recived a mail from Arki yesterday with a really promising wip - I find the time for betatesting, hon ^.^

And on to the next random thing. At DevianArt I recived a note, that there’s an ongoing Blade Runner Contest. (Details here)
Blade Runner is for sure the movie which influenced me the most. My lovely Dad showed it to me, when I was about 7 or 8 years old. Remember that my mom went crazy about it, telling him that I was way to young for it and that he’d messed everything up. In a certain way this is oh so true. Can blame Daddy for everything that was later going to happen.
Like my Anime-addiction, my love for strange Sci-Fi and that I feel most comfortable in Industrial Suroundings …

Just out of curiosity - do you have any certain movie or book that really has an influence on you?

More or less by accident I found this new band called Gemmik which has the potential to score really high in my list of favorite bands.

Just watched the PVE and well … prettiness *cough cough* ahead.

The official site is the usual dark, creepy We-are-so-evil-Stuff, but I’ll keep an eye on them for sure.

Edit: Okay, ehr … seems like they will disabend before the real breaktrough according to this forum post.
And I feel so old Ó_Ò

… of my own passions. I know, this is getting boring, but it took some time until I realized what kind of freedoms I have now. For example listening to the new Dir en grey-CD at three a.m. in the morning.
I really like it and I know where I’ll be at my birthday: WOA!!!! The line-up just kicks ass. The poor guys who I play Guild-Wars with were scared when I freaked out the moment I read that Dir en Grey will play. Maybe I should use the mute-button the next time I become a fangirl.

I’m so happy that I finally going to see them live at concert here in Germany and don’t have to travel to Japan or the US. For one short moment I hated everybody living in L.A. Aural Candy covered the JRock Revolution Festivalwith great pictures and blog-entries.

GAZETTE IS COMING TO GERMANY !!! (and I give a fucking damn about the screaming) Just read it at the Batsu J-rock Forum and it caused some major drooling. Gazette is the only band at the moment which puts me back in the fangirl-mod. Horrible, I know … but you know what, I don’t care. I sit here, with a stupid smile on my face and try to get my hands on tickets for the concert.

SailormoonIt was more by accident that I turned on Viva - the German music channel for those MTV is too sophisticated for. And I got stuck in front of the TV, paralized.
The reason: a boygroup. But not only any boygroup… I’m talking about Tokio Hotel. They have everything a chartbreaking boygroup needs, meaning a cuddly Vocalist, a psychotic something playing the guitar - well, even the funky website with sound and lots and lots of flashy things.
And the moment my eyes widened in shock, I realized, I’m old. No, not only old but completely out of date. I missed the day Visual Kei (or something which pretends to be that) became commercial in Germany. Now a whole generation of innocent little girls is screaming their lungs out in ecstasy because a boy with a tiny little voice sings about dramatic stuff, perfectly styled as he plays the main part in the real movie verison of X (Nothing really new though. Been there, done that myself. Does anybody remember New Kids on the block?)
But back to the band with a name I would enter into google’s searchbar when finally planing my trip to Japan. So I stood in front of the TV and watched the video - and while watching my little braincells started to work. This all appeard so scarry familiar. Only that I’m used to musicians who are at least ten years older, are not hyped by German teen-magazines and released the video four years ago.

What happened? When? And what has

Original RenderGazette’ will publish a new album. Great … I thought until I checked the prize at Amazon.
Why are imports always so expensiv? But the only chance to get original CD’s…
I will never forget the look of one of the guys at JPC - a local recordstore - when I asked for a Dir en Grey-CD.
But it’s the usual problem - for things which are not conform with the masses you have to pay more. And I’m not one of those Kawaiiiiiii-Grrrrlz who just listen to JRock because it’s hip (Does this sound a little bit aggravated? If it does - no excuses).

Original RenderJust recently I discovered a great new japanese Band called Gazette.
More by accident, because I was searching the web for some character-inspirations and ended up like usual: Google -> Visual Kei
I addmit, first it was an image which caught my attention, but then I found some pv’s and well … I have a new favorite.
The music is versatile and interesting, the voice of the leadsinger awesome … (imagine a mature 27year old woman melting away.) So now we have the usual war at home - JRock versus Noise.

If you’re interested in biographies and more information, take a look at Gazetto, an English/German fansite with pretty neat stuff.
