Reno 3d-wip by ~Ka-bu-ki on deviantART

I manage to finish some stuff that’s pure fun. Working on the Reno- and Tseng-morphs as well as on an Elena- and Rude-mesh.
And I have an image in mind. But to complete said picture I’ll need at least 20 working hours…

the cheesy x-mas post had to come at some time

Suddenly I feel oh so x-masy. It’s the first time ever I decorated my home for the holidays. And it will be the first Christmas, I’ll have a tree.

My parents and my brother decided we’ll celebrate Christmas Eve at my place. And my mom asked if we could go to church. I’m not delighted about the idea, but I know it’s important to her. She never forced us to go, and she agreed on sitting in the last bench, so Dad and me are able to run have a decent retreat if it’s too much for us XD

And tonight – I just enjoy the evening. Working on the promised Reno-Render (finally) and feel as relaxed as I haven’t in ages.

reno_test
(this is just the first test – lots and lots of tweaking ahead ♥)

All IM-Services are turned off, a cat is curled up at my sofa, wasting one or two suspicious views on what I’m doing (and Nekojita – I begin to understand all your posts about your cats ♥ I’m so happy that Jamie and me get along so damn well. And I know – it’s not me who has a cat, but Jamie who has a human XD)
And once more I have to apologize for not keeping up with any events. It’s the first weekend in months that’s not stuffed with appointments or homework … so a delayed HAPPY BIRTHDAY to certain people ♥♥♥
And comments to pictures and stories will follow soon … I hope XD

tseng_klamotteJust had to experiment with some clothes – and Poser really hates me. But that’s nothing new. Converted Billy T’s Mod-Suit from M3 to V4 – and still lots of tweaking and post-work was necessary.
Next on the list (and by popular demand) is the Reno-Morph and I’m happy that I have such a bad influence on Arki that she came up with her Fox Hair XD.

On a complete different note – I’m afraid that at the end of this Semester I’ll have tons of Ego-Shooters installed on my machine. Only for studying causes of course. Mechanics of Gamedesign etc blabla… since ages I’m in the mood to waste my rare free time with gaming.

And I have to practice CSS and Halo. I’m such a loser at the moment.

fanserviceOne thing I really love about Poser, is the fact that it’s so easy to render an image Square-Enix would never show … ♥ ♥ ♥

The texture still needs some tweaking. Scars, and more scars and well – some scars. And if I’m absolutely crazy I’ll try my luck on a tattoo.

But before that I have to digg myself into my kanji-dictionaries again. And maybe … if I’m all nice and do the puppy-eye thing and finish what I’ve promised Arki for today … maybe she’s so sweet and …

I’m making progress – slowly. And since I don’t have a copy of Advent Children Complete at hand, the only reference-pictures I can work with are some icon-bases I’ve made a few months ago.
acc_base014acc_base007
Silly me deleted the screen-shots when I updated from XP to Windows7…

And the smexy band-aids are just a little bit distracting. (Valentine should refresh his skills in first aid btw)

The result so far:
scarry-moment2
The lips are smaller now, the mouth was narrowed a bit. But I still have no clue what illegal substances were mixed in some coffees. The shapes of Tseng’s eyes are … strange.

I’m so glad that I don’t have to earn my money with the creation of poser-textures. And my respect goes out to all the people who do this for a living.
I had this strange idea yesterday – setting up a photorealistic render of Tseng. And at this point I hate Square Enix, Daz and the universe …

scarry moment

UV-mapping and me – a long story full of misapprehensions. Texturing… do we really have to start on this?
And Poser8 and me just became friends …

Coffee – check
cigarettes – check

This will be a long night.

Spent at least an hour searching for some high-res close-ups of Tseng. And found … ZERO. And all because I want to make a high-detailed 3d-Image.
Does the guy have grey eyes? Or brown? Questions over questions …

and just because I love this scene so much

First I didn't want to go, then my mom said I have too and finally a guy who I haven't talked with in ages gave me a call and asked if we could meet at the Gamescom.
Who am I to turn this question down? And to be honest - I know it drives a lot of people insane, but I'm best if the planning is spontaneous. Surprisingly everything works best if I haven't had days or weeks before to plan every detail ahead.

DSC00122So at Friday morning I was on my way to Cologne (From my point of view it was an excellent choice that the Convention moved from Leipzig to North-Rhine-Westfalia - train tickets are cheaper.)
When I arrived, my first thought was: OMFGBBQ! Kabuki in heaven... Games, games and even more games. But I wasn't only there for personal entertainment.
Just had to find a way to combine pleasure and work.
Pleasure: Drooling over Games like Tekken 6, Diablo 3, Final Fantasy XIV ...
Work: Meeting people, exchanging business cards, drinking coffee ...

Things I've learned: I can drink coffee, exchange cards and drool at the same time, except it involves Final Fantasy VII.
The apprehension, that fulfilled itself: I was weeping about my PC's Benchmark. And it's more then 13 days till Christmas.

One of my personal highlights was of course the new Guild Wars 2-Trailer. And if I only need a new PC for this game.

A shiver ran down my spine when I watched it for the first time. Seriously.

♥ Although the biggest personal highlight was the cellphone incident ♥ - I'm still pouncing about it.
DSC00120After lots of coffees, a horrible Pizza and even more coffee (and some biz'-talk) I finally left the Gamescom around 7:30pm to meet up with Sphinxeofthenile, Ice_Lady and Naurring. Three absolutely lovely ladies - and I think some people were kind of shocked, when they heard what we were talking about the whole time. To sum it up: It was for fiction-research XD. And I need the song, Ladies!
In the end a rabid plotbunny jumped at me around 3 am in the morning while we we were waiting for my train and dug it's vicious teeth deep into my already fried brain.
A bunny that still causes a major headache. Reeve Tuesti and Lazard in a Bar ...

I would have loved to stay for the whole weekend in Cologne, but to quote my favorite Warcraft-Orcs: 'Work, work, work...'
So I missed the attempts of a lot of Cosplayers to break the world record and lots of other fun stuff. One day isn't for sure enough to see everything - alone the waiting time in front of Blizzard's Diablo 3-Presentation was more than four hours (and that at 2 pm.)
And it's a completely different feeling to attend such a huge Convention as fan or with serious biz in mind. It was the first time for me, so it was really good that I was on my own - but I know for sure that next year I have to go twice (or buy a ticket for the whole week ^.^) and have to drag my Dad with me.

I'm a fangirl - my friends know my quirks. And well, my mobile plays the Turk-Theme.
I never thought that would bring me in the situation I was in today. my little fangirl ♥ is still pouncing
One of my boys told me that Yoshinori Kitase is at the Convention. And of course Kabuki had to run for an autograph. Just when I asked if he could sign me a piece of paper my phone rang. Not that it wasn't obvious that I'm a fangirl before *cough*. To cut a long story short, I ended up showing some of my images to one of my personal heroes. And it seemed like he liked 'em.

Edit: corrected some misspellings - the longer version of Kabuki on the loose in Cologne will follow soon.
Edit 2: Never try to edit something, when you're still half asleep ...

what the heck?
It's me ... and my fluffy moments are rare. Really rare. I had one of those moments when I started this sketch.

And today, while cleaning up the lineart, I was thinking about the dialogue Rufus and Tseng may had at this moment.

cuddle

Any idea I came up with had to deal with how to annoy Reeve Tuesti, and the amount of people who need to disappear secretly. Oo

Mind you - all Tseng/Rufus sketches I draw are influenced or based on the stuff Nocti and I write ... we're completely OoC by now and really don't care. It turned into 'Dark' ShinRa-is-family-aka-organized-crime-biz Fantasy a while ago.

But it's damn hard to sit at home, work and sketch at the same time. I need ages atm to finish one single image. And I become more and more nit-picky about the damn lines...

Manga Studio is such an underestimated nifty program. The vector-options rock and although the ex-version is still too expensive for someone like me (and I will not dare to take a look at my bank statements for the rest of the month - macaroni and cheese will be my favorite dish till September) it's really an alternative to Adobe's Illustrator. (And this sounds like a bad commercial Oo // *commercial break over...)

Took me days to finish it - but ... it's done!!!
And I have no clue if I'm going to color it or not.

I have no clue what came first - the review or the idea for the image...

Nocti and me just received one of the best reviews ever. And I know, I shouldn't make jokes about people who make the effort to write a review, but it's too good. (And besides this one little question it's a sweet review - I still have no clue why people love this crack-fic so much Oo)
The synopsis: Where did you guys got the information that Tseng's Wutainese? Or did you make it up?

pssst, I'm telling you all a secret here - it's only my kink for Asian guys with long black hair ...

Today wasn't my day - spent most of it on the couch, wondering what kind of shit is airing on TV.
At least I finished the new layout. Only some minor tweaks have to be made until I'm satisfied. And the CSS for the three columns is written. Now I only have to dig myself deep into the wordpress-documentation to get all the nifty features in the theme I want to have.

But after all coding I needed a break. Actually I wanted to either draw Rude or Cloud, but I ended up with yet another Tseng-Sketch.

Cig break )
Gun and cigarette included ...
AND yet another kink of mine - a guy in a kimono-something...

... the proof was given at the Train-station in Hamm on the way back from the animagic2009.

I had such a great weekend - maybe the make up for the whole last week. It started with more stress than necessary. And a major headache. First I had a car, then not, then my brother stepped in, then he decided that he felt uncomfortable with me driving the long distance to Bonn. So he gave me the train-ticket as early birthday present.
To cut a long story short - Sweet Gwen and I made it to the convention in the end ... nearly in time.

We found Noc pretty soon and started one of our favorite activities: trash-talking. Some of the cosplays were a pain in the eye not so good. But others were just breathtaking.
Hogwarts Fieldtrip
Although the stress of the week before took it's toll - I wasn't as talkative as usual and my neck was stiff and hurt like hell - it was so awesome to watch all the great costumes. The whole atmosphere was amazing.
Unfortunately I neither had a ticket for the con itself nor any money to spent on books, films or posters. (Birthday is 4 days too late. Or the con was too early ;_; ) And I could only stay for Saturday.

On the way back I met some more really nice people - including the smoking Genesis and a group of Visus'. And had a long debate with my inner-self. I will be at the Connichi for sure. And this time not as civilian. Maybe I even finish my Mononoke-Cos till then. (And then I have no reason to back up from LARP's anymore *sigh*- with some changes the outfit works also for my planned character. A 'medicine'-seller *cough* )

(Sorry, this seems to turn into a Socks Missing in Action-Post)

Today was the day, I was really afraid of. My Dad's fiftieth birthday.
omfgbbq - it's pink
And after all the screwed up stuff which happened the last weeks I was so horrified that I would mess things up.
But ... everything went completely smooth.
I managed to clean up my whole apartment. And my cake was a blast. Chemistry in its purest form. But it tasted good.
And the best: No arguments at all with my parents and grandparents.

For a change a really nice and relaxing weekend. ^_^

und an der Schlaflosigkeit - aber gerade gibt es ein wildes Plotbunny das einfach los gehüpft ist.
Ich verkrieche mich ja jetzt schon für die bescheuerte Idee. Aber dieses Bunny muss einfach raus.

Poor [livejournal.com profile] karanguni demanded some porn. And since I still not feel really comfortable with my English I decided it's the best to pick up my wacom pen ...
(hell, wait ... why I'm writing poor after THAT prompt???) )
Damn, now I know that I studied History and Archeology for a reason! And I'll write something ... (the mad laughter you just heard wasn't me ... really)

Anyways, finished the first rough sketch I had in my mind for days now.
Not really worksafe and yaddayadda

Reno and Tseng ... once more )

Finished the coloration and the background. Go me ^.^
It's a little bit fluffy - but I wasn't really in the mood to draw one of the generic bondage/bloody images.

And received the first flame for Reno being the one on top. How can I do such thing to the natural born uke ... hold on a sec, where the hell is written that Reno gets fucked by any of the male ff vii-cast? As far as I can recall the story, it's not cannon that he has 'Rufus' boy' tattooed over his butt...
Anyways, I'm pretty happy that I really managed to finish the image in one day. And now my hand really hurts.
